UPDATE
I haven’t done a post in well over a year so I’m back to show a project I started yesterday. As you all know it’s quarantine season! All stupid jokes aside, it’s been rough. I’ve been wanting to create art for the 2 months and I only had 1 opportunity up until the last few days. I started off with head shots the other day of my coworker to jump start her realty career.
PORCHTRAITS
I was inspired by (@blkkhand) Carla Rodriguez to do porch portraits aka porchtraits with my view camera. Those of you that have followed me the past year that I have been trying forever to get a large format camera. Thanks to Intrepid UK & a private investor, I got one! I also inherited a ton of good quality dark room equipment recently from Bill Setzer, an old customer from Richmond Camera.
So, yesterday I started my curbside project #FxbgPorchtraits! I stopped by a couple houses but the old film I got from Bill was a mystery. He had handed over dozens of film holders that all had sheets still in them. What we didnt know is if any were bad or already exposed. Unfortunately I learned the hard way and half my shots are garbage. Lesson learned! With the tips I did receive I ordered more chemicals & will order new sheet film today. I will contact the families that I need to reshoot.
